Our team played another set of friendly matches as part of the training camp held in Austria. Gurban Gurbanov’s squad faced Dutch side “Twente” in two matches on the same day.
Twente – Qarabağ – 2:3
Our team started the first match with the following lineup: 99. Mateusz Kochalski, 13. Bahlul Mustafazade, 2. Mateus Silva, 18. Dani Bolt, 27. Toral Bayramov, 35. Pedro Bicalho, 8. Marko Janković, 15. Leandro Andrade, 20. Kady Borges, 10. Abdellah Zoubir (c), 90. Nariman Akhundzade.
The game began with attacks from both sides. The Dutch team took the lead by scoring twice in the first 30 minutes. However, our players didn’t give up and managed to make a comeback.
Towards the end of the first half, our team equalized the score with goals from Abdellah Zoubir and Leandro Andrade. In the second half, only one goal was scored – team captain Abdellah Zoubir netted his second of the match, securing a 3:2 victory for our team.
Twente – Qarabağ – 2:1

This time, the Dutch side came out on top with a 2:1 win. Abbas Huseynov scored our team’s only goal.
It should be noted that our team will play its final friendly match of the Austrian training camp on July 15 against local club “Salzburg.” The match will kick off at 20:00 Baku time.
