“Qarabag” Football Club strongly condemns any racism, discrimination or hateful behavior both on and off the field.
On 05.11.2025, during the “Qarabag” – “Chelsea” match held within the framework of the UEFA Youth League, an incident regarding racist gestures made by a fan in the stands towards an opposing player was brought to our attention.
We were deeply concerned by this unacceptable act. Such behavior does not represent the values of “Qarabag” FC, our fans or the people of Azerbaijan. The person responsible has been identified and the matter has been immediately referred to local law enforcement agencies for investigation.
“Qarabag” FC reiterates its zero tolerance policy towards any racism and discrimination. Football is a game of unity, respect and equality, embodying the principles that we will always uphold.
We sincerely apologize to Chelsea FC, the affected player and everyone who fights for fair play and human dignity. Qarabag FC will continue to work closely with the police and UEFA to ensure that strict action is taken against any form of racist behaviour.
